They never gave me back my refund!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a replacement battery for my iPhone 5s, only to find out that it was for an iPhone 5 so I returned it. Three months later I still haven't given me my refund and now they will not even respond to my emails. I have contacted them several times and they sent me a picture of a refund they made to my paypal account. I checked my account a million times and also contacted my paypal providers they don't have any record of any refund made to my account in the past 6 months. Watch out people! It could happen to you too!

gadgettown sent me an item different than the one in my order. When trying to resolve this matter on the internet, I have only received a computer generated message to send pictures.

I send the pictures and get the response which is the same message to send pictures. E-bay and Pay-pal are absolutely no help in solving my problem with gadgettown.

Robbed Me

They talk real nice but they are actually blowing you off. They are running a scam on ebay by letting you think they are in Ney York / New Jersey but they are in China. They like to take payment but don't ship any items...Stealing your Money is what they do ***, but I will make them pay..They are not reputable, They rob, cheat steal and do it all while smiling at you. Ebay should never let these *** deal there ever again, but the dont care that much either. Read all the other complaints they have had againt them before you buy..

Took payment,no delivery.

I placed an order on 12-14-12. When i didn't recieve my order and checked on it, I was given a "fake" tracking number. The tracking number shows the package was delivered. The phone number was invalid and e-mails were unsucessful. Differnt phone numbers that were available have been disconnected, no longer in service or a foreign voice informs you that no one is availabe to talk to you at this time. This whole company needs investigated! They have companies in many states and still no "available " representative. The sad thing is the gift was for a grandchild for Christmas!!

Delayed delivery

I ordered an iPad cover from Tmart on line from UK. They say it was "dispatched"the same day but from Hong Kong so it will be 4 weeks for delivery and the order can't be cancelled as it has been "dispatched". It also not clear if any import duty will have to be paid on entry to the UK. None of this clear on the website when placing order. Company says it "will refund" my payment if I refuse to accept the deliveryof the item and it is returned to them. I just do not believe that. The could just say they have not received it.

They wont tell me what I bought. Just a bill.

I buy alot online. But I got an invoice from them with a link to my paypal to pay them, but they won't tell me what I bought. I have tried emails and every @#$$ link on the site, even making an account to see what I have purchased. Their online help is just automated ***. No response from a human. So I wont pay for what I don't know i supposedly "bought". There are no phone numbers, and no real email response to my questions, mostly with the subject line saying just tell me what I bought! I will wait till they send me more (but hopefully different automation) and then complain via PayPal. That may up their response level to mere humans.

I ordered an Iphone lcd and glass digitizer from them a year ago and it never came so i opened up a claim through paypal just as you did and just they lied to you they convinced me to drop the claim but I only did that after they gave me a tracking number on a replacement so I could see where it was ... all looked well for the first week I seen it come from china to the usa then it got delivered to an address in the states after that they stopped replying to my emails and after a week I gave up THIS IS SUCH A SCAM I don't understand how they and others can claim on Ebay to be located in the States when they are truthfully located in China like as much as this is the companys fault for ripping ppl off I think Ebay should be looking into this sort of thing and stopping businesses like these from operating on there site.

Ordered wireless USB bluetooth dongles for both Vista and Windows 7.

You guessed it they want would on either one of them.

Someone needs to visit this company and see what the deal is? It appears they are ripping people off from mulitable sources.

Anyone have a phone number ??

I bought a Vaio battery not direct from Yall, but via a 3rd party Amazon reseller who drop ships from them, making it very difficult to identify fraudulent vendors by searches up front. Yall's address reverse traces to a phone billed to a Mr. Hangfeng Wu.

What Yall shipped me was 2 sizes lower capacity than the spec's for what I bought, fraudulently labelled on the battery housing and outer box with the higher spec's (4400 mAH per Sony sensor chip design rating, sold as 5200 mAH). On top of that, the brand new battery sensors indicated 11% wear level, or only 3885 mAH, over 25% less than the stated 5200 mAH spec.

That kind of consumer fraud is very difficult to stop, unless Mr. Wu and conspirators can be criminally prosecuted by US or NJ Attorney Generals, and Customs somehow be convinced to identify and seize shipments of fraudulently labelled items at the border.

Note, on the battery drop shipped to me via Yall's 108,000 Sq. Foot warehouse in the 26 acre Pantheon Commerce Park (the address listed on this original report, a big operation and not just some cubbyhole office), that amounts to both fraud by mismarking intentional fake spec's, AND selling defective product that fails quality control for the design spec as if new and non-defective.

Perhaps there's a need for sites like this to arrange information sharing among Customs, prosecutors, and class action lawyers who might help us seize assets of RICO operations whose individual crimes are petty, but that overall, perpetrate massive financial frauds?

just want to let you know that once a paypal claim is opened, seller can not issue any kind of refund unless you close your claim. you'd have to wait at least 10 business days for paypal to make a decision.

if you opened a claim during the process of communicating with seller, that means you closed the door of seller to refund you.

that's why sellers will ask you to close the claim.

however you dont have to agree.

you can choose to wait longer time for paypal to decide. but if your seller is willing to refund, it'll save your time to close the claim.

Marty H Mzr

Exactly what they did to me. Said if I closed the claim they would issue an instant refund and being dumb I did and here i sit still waiting for my refund.

Today they just contqactyed me and said they had sent payment through my pay-pal account.

GUESS WHAT!!! NO PAYMENT WHAT A DAM JOKE...

Guest

I too had a problem with a replacement keyboard I purchased from these people. I paid through paypal and after repeated attempts to resolve with the seller I filed a claim with paypal.

Once the claim was filed I received an e-mail stating 'we can resolve this' go ahead and close your claim. I responded that since it was so difficult getting a response from them I did not feel comfortable closing the claim. Paypal just notified me that I am to return the keyboard and they are refunding my money. They do need to verify that I have returned the keyboard.

Just got off the phone with paypal because the seller states that if there is no RMA on the label they will refuse it. I expressed my concerns about this to paypal they assured me that if in fact they refuse it or it is marked undeliverable they will be out the keyboard & money.

If they want to do business with paypal they have to abide by paypals return policies theirs are moot. :(

Gadget Town should be investigated!

This company has basically committed another crime. The product never arrived; customer service was a screw-job, using fabricated "ticket numbers" and UPS tracking codes, and delivering blatant lies to pacify their victims. If you order from this operation please expect the following: a fleeting assurance that you found a great deal, a long wait time, a curiosity as to where your order may be, an email from you to them asking when the order was shipped, a canned response with a ticket number, another email from YOU to THEM, a canned response with a ticket number (this will occur as often as you prefer), a phone call to THEM and a Chinese woman on the message assuring that though you have made a great purchase from a great company but you will unfortunately not able to talk with a representative at that time, and then, finally, you may just decide to give up. Doesn't mail fraud apply to the internet? Shouldn't UPS be concerned that their company is being libeled by Gadget Town's falsified tracking numbers. My municipal credit card holder will likely be interested in the their conduct because our fraud protection has recently kicked in.

Scammed by Gadget Town

So I bought a green laser pointer on gadgttown.com for approx. $40 for a very dear friend of mine. I placed the order on Sept 21 and my credit card was charged the next day. The item was suppose to arrive at the latest in 15 business days. After 2 weeks, I tried to contact the company through phone but they would never pick up. So I talked to them online asking them when I would get my order. The first time I chatted with the operator, she told me the item was shipped on Sept 26; the second time, Sept 27, the third time, Oct 1; and the fourth time, Oct 9. Each time the operator told me to wait five more days. When I ask why I keep being told different shipping date, each time I was told "the system was wrong, but it's right now." The items never came. It's been over a month now. Their operator's English are barely understandable. Obviously, they are NOT based in the US but rather somewhere in Asia where this kind of stuff happens all the time. Never, ever, EVER buy from them. They are scam.

Beware of Gadgettown/aka Tmart.com

Gadgettown, also operating as T-mart, offers extremely low cost items. The problem is many of the items do not work and are shipped differently that what is described in the advertisements. When you attempt to return the item, their "customer service" suddenly doesn't exist and they pretend not to understand English. They will answer every e-mail (no phone number available) with a polite but meaningless response, refusing all refunds and not providing any information on how to return the item. I even attempted to use Payapl to get a refund and they refused also. This is an obvious scam company in my opinion.

I experiencd the same as well. Unfortunately I didn't realize ebay's 45 day limitation on filing a complaint.

I lost $28 on an Otterbox case which I will likley never see. It's now been 3 months. Twice a USPS tracking number was provided which couldn't be tracked. DON'T BE FOOLED.

DO NOT NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I WISH EBAY AND PAYPAL WOULD DROP THEIR BUSINESS.

Yes, I had problems with Tmart.com, I'm never ordering from them again. I just wrote a review. They are a complete scam.

Gadget town the lack of service continues

I have had an unfortunate experience with Gadget town after purchasing a digitizer for a ipod touch my son paid for expedited delivery (2 day delivery) needless to say the $30.00 delivery charge was wasted the item arrived in 10 days (the same time, free shipping promised) after repeated emails expressing my anger and their lack of service (boarding on criminal) I was forced to resort to ebay resolution (which also went no where) I insisted on a minimum of shipping refund we were cheated out of which according to ebay and Gadget town was issued (my bank account disagrees) truthfully until I saw this page I was going to risk ordering again, since they are suppose to be in the US, but I believe better sense will prevail. ***Beware of gadget town, they say many things but I suspect because they are not in the US and use translation software and meaning eludes them.....Or they are crooks! thank you

You'll likely never see it. The company is ignoring me completely now.

I've left messages on their direct website, on their answering machine and of course on ebay. Nothing. This company must be raking in shitloads from other suckers! Email eBay and PayPal immediately and complain (if you've just purchased something and suspect you're going to end up a victim by "delays".

DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THE 45 DAY time limitation. LODGE your complaint with eBay and Paypal NOW!

Gadget Town Non-Existent Customer Service

On Feb. 25, 2011, I ordered LCD Screen for my Canon Video Cam from Gadget Town. On March, I received a mutilated package, without a packing slip, that included a product that I have no idea what it is. On March 25, I emailed to find out when Gadget Town would ship my order. Since then, I have replied to daily emails and jumped through hoops to prove the product they shipped was theirs. They even made a request for me to return ship their product at my expense. Can you imagine? Gadget Town has not offered an apology. Nor shipped the order. Nor offered a refund. It is sad that companies exist such as Gadget Town where the customer is treated like a thief and a liar. And where customer service is non-existent. You are taking chances when you purchase from Gadget Town. I recommend that you find a more reputable company.

GadgetTown.com,Aware of Scam!!!

Are you planning to shop at GadgetTown.com? Then this message is for you and I suggest you to read it. I'm sure you will find some useful information that will help you decide if you want to deal with GadgetTown.com I strongly suggest not to order from GadgetTown.com From my personal experience GadgetTownd.com will ship you the wrong item (a cheaper item) hoping that it will be too much trouble (and they'll make sure it's a lot of trouble) to return it. When you complain that they have sent you the wromg item, prepare for numures emails back and forth, GadgetTown.com will try to treat you like an *** that doesn't know how to use the product features when in fact these features do not exist in the item they sent. At the end they will offer you a discount for your next purchase and the same story will repeat. In this time and age It is very diffucult to find a reputable company that you can buy online from. Happy holidays and good luck with your online shopping.

Gadgettown fraud

I bought a $40 item from gadgettown...4 days later they finally sent me notice that my order had been processed. 1 day later they said that my order had been "shipped". that was 14 days ago. The USPS tracking info just says electronic billing received, which could easily mean that they haven't shipped the item yet. I talked to them via email, because they are unreachable by phone, and I spoke to someone who's english skills rivaled those of monkeys, and they just told me to wait five more days....its been more than five days. I'm NEVER going to buy from them again.

GadgetTown.com is an Internet Thief

On August 8, 2010, I purchased, via the Internet, a watch from GadgetTown.com. On August 9, 2010, the money for this item was removed from my bank account as payment. I received an email stating that it was shipped on the same day,but when I checked the USPS site for information on the shipment of my item, I found that it was held up at the Bellmawr facility due to misinformation from the company that shipped it. This query took place on August 13, 2010. Upon contacting the company via email (I could never get anyone on the phone), I was emailed a message asking me to wait a while longer for this item. I stated that I would only wait until this past Tuesday, August 24, 2010, and if the item was not received by then, I would request a refund to my bank account by this past Thursday, August 26, 2010. This company stated that they would comply with my wishes, but as of this writing there is no refund and I now find that, via the company, they have charged me a fee of $1.63 for reshelving the item, which was never received. I want a FULL refund of my $45.99, and want it back in my bank account as promised. I have saved all of the email correspondence with and from this company as proof of their lack of professionalism. I also wish them to do this action in a timely manner, as I have been grossly inconvenienced by them and believe that they are mere thieves and liars. I am also contacting the FTC about this company's actions. No less than a FULL refund of my money will be acceptable. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! THEY NOT ONLY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE NUMBER, BUT CONSTANTLY COME UP WITH EXCUSES WHY YOUR ITEM HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
